Kids matter at First Alliance!

We serve children and equip their parents/guardians to grow their kids into passionate Jesus-followers who love God and others. We do that through Biblically-based interactive activities, lessons and prayer times on Sundays and Wednesdays. In addition, we provide resources for families to continue the spiritual formation at home during the week. We encourage families to grow together by providing similarly-themed lessons that individual members of each family can use, designed to further their unique spiritual growth.

Sue Trumbull

Director of Family & Children's Ministries

Sue's greatest passion is to help families follow Jesus together and whole-heartedly. Every family matters, and every person in the family matters. Whether assisting children, single adults, single-parent families, married couples, grandparents or great-grandparents, she seeks to provide tools that encourage growth in relationships, marriages, parenting, grandparenting, and what it looks like to be a Jesus-follower.

Sue is a graduate of the University of Toledo in Elementary Education, with other continuing education courses in Early Childhood. She also studied at Word of Life Bible Institute. She currently also works part-time at the American School for Women and Children in their preschool program where she teaches toddlers English as a Second Language. Sue is married to Mike. They have four adult children—Daniel (wife Rebecca), Andrew, Nathan and Jessica—and one grandson, Logan. Cooking, playing games with friends and family, reading, watching Hallmark movies, swimming, water skiing and camping are some of her favorite pastimes
